A police officer, who allegedly shot and killed his partner at Tembisa Hospital, and then turned the gun on himself, has been granted R5 000 bail.
Constable Lucky Mudau, 31 who is currently suspended, allegedly killed Lebo Monene in the hospital's parking lot on the morning of 9 February.
He appeared in the Tembisa Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning.
Mudau, who is confined to a wheelchair after he shot himself, was wheeled into court by police officers.

The State did not oppose bail, stating his condition was of a unique nature which it was not equipped to accommodate.
After shooting himself, Mudau spent months in hospital and was subsequently discharged into the care of the Tshwane Rehabilitation Centre.
It was revealed in court he was now a quadriplegic.
Outside court, National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonodwane said evidence presented in court showed exceptional circumstances existed for Mudau to be released on bail.
Mjonodwane added it was important to understand every case should be treated according to its merits
"These are serious charges, and he will be given an opportunity to stand trial and disprove the evidence that the State will bring forth," she said.
Mudau will be back in court on 21 September.
